The La Quinta Golf Resort is home 36 holes of championship golf, the Mountain Course and the Dunes Course. Both courses are a great mix of traditional and desert golf making this a Palm Springs favorite.
The La Quinta Resort Mountain Course is nestled at the base of the Santa Rosa Mountains. Known for its huge rock formations that surround the golf course, this challenging desert layout features pot bunkers, rolling terrain and large elevation changes off the tee box. Named one of Golf Magazines Top 100 You Can Play, the course is planning and skill to make it past the 94 sand bunkers and waste areas. Water will come into play on 5 holes. The course winds though a residential community for over half of the course and the remainder winds through natural desert with large elevation changes and rough rock surroundings.
The La Quinta Resort Dunes Course is a traditional links style layout ranked one of Golf Digests Top 75 Resort Courses in America. The terrain will vary from flat to rolling with wide fairways. The course winds through a residential community with amazing mountain views at every turn. Surrounded by Palm Trees, there are 78 white sand bunkers along the fairway or greenside and water comes into play on 6 holes. This course is great for the average golfer with its non-intimidating appearance, yet challenging enough for the expert.
Scenic Hole Fact: Hole #16 on the Mountain course is a Par 3 and offers an elevated tee box overlooking the Santa Rosa Mountains and play downhill onto a pear shaped green.
